Treatments for toothache
Rinse. Take swallow of warm water and rinse hard. If toothache is caused by trapped food, a powerful rinse may dislodge debris problem.
Use floss string carefully. If you don’t obtain any effect by rinsing, try to use a floss string to dislodge the trapped food. Do it carefully because the gums are already irritated.
Use alcohol for the pain. Take a sip of whiskey on the side with the toothache. The gums will absorb a part of the alcohol, which will lower your pain.
Rinse with salt water. After every meal, and especially in the evening, disolve one teaspoon of salt in a cup of 250 ml of warm water. Rinse and spit.
Try an ice massage of the area where index finger and thumb bones are meeting. Miraculous, this method can relieve the toothache.
Use clove oil. This remedy is used for centuries. Put some clove oil directly on the tooth.
Don’t bite. If the pain is caused by a tooth trauma, when you eat try to avoid that area. Even if there is no trauma, a little rest for the tooth can relieve the pain.
Use ice. Put some ice in a plastic bag then in a thin canvas and keep it on the cheek on the side with the ill tooth for 15 minutes, 3-4 times per day.
Relieve and cure with echinacea which is one of the most effective remedies for the toothache. This plant stimulates the immune system to eliminate the tooth infection. You cand buy echinacea from a herbal store. Take a teaspoon and rinse all around the ill tooth, then swallow. Repeat this process 4 times per day. The effect is almost miraculous, even it takes one day till it begins to work.
Keep your mouth closed. If the toothache is caused by cold air, simply don’t let it come inside, but do not clench your teeth.
Take pain medication. You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen, one time at 4 hours.
Avoid heat. Don’t put warm stuff on the painfull cheek. Is there is an infection, the heat will help it to spread.
